called clearinghouse (rebatesHQ): stated that multiple submissions must be in SEPERATE envelopes, as they are processed one 30$ check per envelope, per agent on phone.

Had to do a live chat and get them to add notes to my account to get the $6 refund on my order, since I used eBill... If you're after a single drive, do a live.com search (to get 5% cashback). Order the drive (checking the shipping is $1.99 - do a live chat if need be), and use eBill to pay, so you can get a $25 rebate from them. Brings the cost of a single drive down to $110 - $30 (rebate) - $25 (eBill rebate) + $1.99 (shipping) - $5.50 (cashback) = $51.49, which is pretty good for a 1TB drive. Note that cashback and eBill only works for TigerDirect, and not CompUSA. My cashback is already showing as pending and available in 59 days. - G

Lots of drives get complaints and have failures.... but I gotta agree with you. Hitachi's known as the worst, and there's a reason their Deskstar line was deemed the "deathstar" line by users. I had one die quickly on me. Cheap stuff. Cheap price... but other deals have been out for $100 for 1TB before, and I think the extra ten bucks or so is worth it. My 2 cents. Thanks OP for posting a slick price on a 1TB drive, not trying to thread crap, but to give an honest opinion. You've given tons of great deals.
