Dell EPP: Studio XPS Desktop Intel Core i7 Quad Core 2.66 GHz, 4GB DDR3, 500GB HDD, 256MB Radeon HD3650, DVDRW, 23" Full HD LCD, Vista Premium x64 $959 Or $922
Ok, there are 2 parts of the deal, one from Dell Home, one from Dell EPP. Dell EPP part is not active yet, but Dell Home is.
(forget about dell home, EPP is live)
Dell Home deal, and details are available right now via this link
http://configure.us.dell.com/dellstore/config.aspx?c=us&l=en&s=dhs&cs=19&oc=DXDNZY1
Price is $999 - 3% with DPA = $969.03 shipped + taxes, tags, title, insurance... oh wait, wrong place
Dell EPP deal will not start till later today (11/17/2008), likely closer to 6-8AM central time, and the link will be
http://configure.us.dell.com/dellstore/config.aspx?c=us&l=en&s=eep&cs=2236&oc=DXDNZY1 <-- LINK IS ACTIVE!
Price will be also $999 - 7% EPP discount - 4% DPA = $891.91
Start here
http://configure.us.dell.com/dellstore/config.aspx?c=us&l=en&s=eep&cs=2236&oc=DXDNZY1
Choose options
Dell 23 inch Consumer™ S2309W Flat Panel, Adjustable Stand [ Free!]
Note, the free monitor upgrade will likely be gone by morning, I am guessing it's an error - but we'll see. In any case, upgrade to a 24" is only $50 if you want it. If you can get 23" for free, I see no reason to upgrade to 24"
Checkout, apply DPA, yada yada, your total is $969.03 + whatever taxes your state collects. In the morning, this should be $892.91 with Dell EPP after all discounts
Here is what this money gets you right now
Chances are, this uses Intel X58 chipset. Just to give you an example, here is what Newegg has to offer motherboard wise ($220 and up)
The CPU itself retails for $320ish right now.
You decide if it's worth it, but if you want new tech, this won't be easy to beat right now.

. I'm not sure how the 3+1 works...ie channel A B C and the left-over is assigned to what, user specification? DDR3 prices [as well as timings] needs to fall like LCDs prices are...please.
