I currently have a KSW12 and was thinking of getting this for a second system. This looks like it is higher wattage. Any one had the chance to compare the two for sound? It seems like a great price for this model.

Reviews for this model say it outshines the KSW12, which I have as well. Less boomy and muddy, and better for music than the KSW12 (which is better for home theatre than music).

Thanks for the nice find ... I was looking at getting a new sub in the next few months to replace my somewhat mediocre Infinity sub (it was part of a 5.1 set, so not the worst, but it has a pretty poor low end range and is really tough to get calibrated just right with the receiver)... but every time I found models I liked the price was in the 400-600 range which is way out of my pay grade ... the 12" was one of the ones I had looked at previously, so this made for a good excuse to end up overbudget for my holiday shopping! (The wife is going to have a difference of opinion on this particular purchase, so time to finally resell some of the extra parts and electronics I have accumulated to make sure I don't get glared at everytime the sub booms!)

Perhaps better to buy it in the store, as you cannot return shipped items to a store per their policy...

AND, they're only offering a 10-day return for money back, which is silly during the holidays.

Requirements for full refund or exchange:

* Item must be returned within ten days of purchase.
* You must have your original sales receipt.

I didn't see some of that info, thanks for pointing that out. I already ordered, but if I have any problems, my Visa card that I use has always been great about fixing problems on my behalf if there is a problem with a merchant. (I dont' have problems often, but this card has even handled charge-backs for store sponsored rebates that were incorrectly denied without second guessing me once I fax them all the documentation, so I'm glad I did use that payment method.) So everyone please heed JonLouisville's warning, and if you do buy online from this vendor, if at all possible use a credit card that offers buyer protection just in case you do end up with a problem that the store does not properly resolve.

hhgregg is plenty reputable, so there shouldn't be many problems, but I agree, that fine print is pretty crappy.

Luckily, they're an authorized dealer, so the Klipsch warranty will be in place, and if you just decide you don't want it, I'd be very surprised if you couldn't get at least your money back by reselling it.

sweet. i LOVE this sub. I had one a while back, but couldn't afford it at the time. I can afford this now!
