It's legal if it applies to you. Registered non-profits and resellers (who will resell the item) can be tax exempt. In the case of the latter, I know Dell can be a bit cranky when you buy these deals as an official reseller. If you have an account you can probably work it out with your rep though.

Yep, got the e-mail this AM - picked up an extra 3 for my coworkers, this monitor is fantastic for development @ 1920x1200 resolution.

I use this with their new e-series flat panel monitor stand - helps to address the lack of vertical position adjustment that only comes with the Ultrasharp line.
