Serious, who gives a TD without so much as a post/explanation? People who try that without having posted in the thread first should have the system dock a rep point.

Same reason you'd crossfire two regular cards. Slim setups are useful too ya know. Not all low profile cards are completely weak. Setting them up for crossfire doesn't hurt anything but the wallet

I believe amd has Hybrid crossfire aswell on microatx boards which are typically used in wait for it..*drumroll* HTPC SETUPS UPS! taaaddaaaa.

Three things to note - it seems to run hot, it's processing power is not strong enough to run HD, TS, M2TS or BD streams without stuttering, and there is a (well known and not yet corrected apparently) driver problem that does not allow the audio to pass through the HDMI card. Otherwise I would be in for one quick.

None of this is really true. I run one of these and I got it for about the same price a few months ago. I think it's damned close to the perfect card for a pure HTPC setup. I have no stuttering on Blu-Ray or HDTV (3800+ single core), it runs cool, and sound via HDMI was only a problem when the card first came out.

Low profile bracket included

It has been persistently $20 after MIR, but free shipping fluctuates.

The problem with this product is that the low profile bracket is double-width; i.e., you either one full size PCI-E slot available, or two adjacent low-profile PCI-E's. Which for me is a deal breaker as a TV card sits in my other slot. See the last picture on newegg for details.
