Still a great deal. Most receivers do only a mediocre job upconverting anyway. Run HDMI directly to your TV and sent the audio signal to the receiver! Works like a charm with Sony BR Player!

With that said, I picked up the HT-S3100S a while back for $106.30 shipped for my sister. It has a bit more power than what is being offered now, but lacked a powered-sub. I was extremely impressed with the quality -- it was labeled as a 'refurb' with no wires/cabling, but looked like brand new and had all the wires/cabling/batteries needed to run the thing. Setup was a breeze (color-coded wires) and my sister was all set.

For myself, this system would not do. But then again, I spent a ***LOT*** more on my stereo setup, so it boils down to the old adage: you get what you pay for. And if you're paying for this (based on the the other Onkyo unit I've run), you'll get a great little HTIB, period, end of story.

Anyone who needs a HT on the cheap, buy the HT-SR700 NOW! That's a incredible price.

In for one myself. Came to $99.00 after my $10 off from onkyo points. Onkyo's site didn't seem to work with firefox - i kept getting a error after I entered my cc#. Worked fine using IE.

Has anyone been able to order these? I get some cold fusion error when trying to place the order at step 3:

In terms of no HDMI, just run all HDMI Sources to the TV, have the TV be your switch-box, and send an Optical/Toslink for audio out to the receiver. All digital and works like a charm.

Powered subs are WAAAY better than passives. Onkyo makes some good stuff. I have yet to be disappointed by a mid-range set from them.

I was having a similar issue using Firefox, but I used IE and it took my order.
