Toys R Us will be giving a free $20 giftcard with purchase of Resident Evil 5 when it releases next week (3/13).

Update: Here is a pic of the ad, since some of you hippies think I am making this up because you "didn't see this on cheapassgamer.com or an ad-scan" or whatever.... Now rep me for the extra effort!

Just purchased the game today and BB tried not to honor the GC I JUST GOT LOUD AND STARTED THROWING RESIDENT EVIL 5 COPIES AROUND THE STORE UNTIL THEY HONORED IT! I know there is a coupon out there now too (believe it was mailed) for $10 off 100. Of course wouldnt work with the sf4 and re5 for 100 as you would need to do separate transactions in order to use the gc, but if you and a friend want re5 that would be essentially $35 a piece!

I bought Gears of War 2, got a $25 gift card and spent that on Rock Band 2 and got another $25 gift card, so I'll probably spend that on RE5 and get yet another $25 gift card. Sure, it's not cash off but it's still the best deal for the game.
