Nice work, paco (plenty of links for the lazy folk - like me)  . I was just about to post this deal and then I searched and found this. I nearly bit on the Staples deal but I think for a couple of extra dollars (net, after the 'jurassic-like' mail in rebate), an 8gb Corsair USB drive works for me. Reps for posting all the details. PS - I've never had one rebate get screwed up re: newegg.com Anyway, thanks.  PS - Less than $3 for this USB drive aint too shabby. This deal was running for some time but I finally jumped on it today after receiving email from Newegg with 10% off coupon for hard drive purchases EMCHDD10.My total is $74.98 after coupon ($59.98 AR, even less with CB). Perhaps a fellow slickdealer will know this. I've been researching if I can swap a laptop drive like this one in OP's post for the lousy 20GB Xbox 360 drive without being Xbox Live exiled. MS's 120GB is around $1/mb which makes me scream. Hook an external up via usb, gee thanks put my pictures and movies on the external, wow.
PS3 was simple, I've having trouble getting documentation if/how for the Xbox 360 without a ban. edit: $1/mb ugg.. I mean $1/GB Last edited by marinemerchant; 03-12-2009 at 08:57 AM.. |

Inside there is WD4000BEVT which (like WDX000BEVS) can be "modified" to be used in Xbox 360. 120GB is all you will see from it though if you go that route, but it's still cheaper than buying a 120GB MS drive.
