I'm in for the combo - thanks for posting. 3 reps for ya.
Nice work, paco (plenty of links for the lazy folk - like me) . I was just about to post this deal and then I searched and found this. I nearly bit on the Staples deal but I think for a couple of extra dollars (net, after the 'jurassic-like' mail in rebate), an 8gb Corsair USB drive works for me. Reps for posting all the details. PS - I've never had one rebate get screwed up re: newegg.com Anyway, thanks. PS - Less than $3 for this USB drive aint too shabby. Here's a pricegrabber link to some prices and reviews for the Corsair 8gb drive (shipping rates are to the Atlanta area, fyi): http://computers.pricegrabber.com/flash-memory/Corsair-Voyager-8GB-Flash-Drive/m27670466.html/zip_code=30339/st=zip Also - I'm sure someone has posted this deal but the 1.5 TB 3.5 inch (OEM, but who cares?) Seagate drive for $117 (after applying coupon) w/FS - it's smoking! http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16822148337

Perhaps a fellow slickdealer will know this. I've been researching if I can swap a laptop drive like this one in OP's post for the lousy 20GB Xbox 360 drive without being Xbox Live exiled. MS's 120GB is around $1/mb which makes me scream. Hook an external up via usb, gee thanks put my pictures and movies on the external, wow.
PS3 was simple, I've having trouble getting documentation if/how for the Xbox 360 without a ban. edit: $1/mb ugg.. I mean $1/GB Last edited by marinemerchant; 03-12-2009 at 08:57 AM.. |

So, I hear that the 400GB drives were originally made as 500GB, but quality wasn't good enough and so were downsized to 400GB. Is this even safe to use in the long run?
