Dam! I am torn whether to get this or what?!!?! The whole 120hz and new technology yada yada that this TV doesn't have....does it really matter or is it a buncha over hyped gibberish?

If you go to any of the store to compare side by side, there is a huge difference. But it's still good compare to your tube TV.

Some people are annoyed by the "soap opera" effect of the 120hz, not sure depends on individual taste.

Nonetheless, this is a good price for this model at 60Hz.

Man, it's getting tiring correcting these statements.....

120hz does NOT = "soap opera effect"

120hz have what's called "automotion plus" (for samsung models, that's what it's called)

"Automotion plus" is designed to be used for sports, fast scenes. If you use it for what it is NOT intended for, it will smooth the motion too much = "soap opera effect"

60hz with TV (30hz?) and blu-ray movies (24hz) = pull-down on blu-ray movies (doesn't divide evenly)

120hz works perfect for tv and blu-rays

i want to give you rep for the clarification, but why are you getting upset at people? there are many people here that know very little about tv's so you should be a little more happy about sharing your info if you're tired of explaining then don't I did not know the difference, and your explanation helped a lot, but why are you so angry to have knowledge that others do not? we're not forcing you to explain it to us noobs. but we do appreciate it.

so one more question for you how does this apply to games played on it or computers hooked up to it to play games as well? just thinking it may be fun to play on a 52 inch screen

I picked this up last time the offer came up (about a month ago I think) ... free ship and no tax .. arrived freight in perfect condition (showed up at my house in SC in about 4 days).. an awesome deal for an awesome TV (even if it's not 120hz)

I have the LN-T5265F (last gen 52 inch; 60 hz) I actually like 60 Hz better. 120 is nice, but to me it's not worth the extra price premium (usually in the ballpark of three to four hundred dollars). You may like the 120 Hz on blu-ray movies, but not me. Watching Ironman looks so fake. Makes everything look like a 1970s James Bond 'green-screen' scene.

Ive seen the new 120Hz sets in the store and they are incredible. I was like damn I wish I waited a little longer... Definitely get the best set you can afford, and don't buy it because it is cheap. There is a reason why it is cheap.

I find the best deals are usually the ones that are one notch below the absolute state-of-the-art stuff. Since Sony just came out with the 240Hz LCDs, I think everyone should consider the 120Hz at this point.
