I was told that if you were to choose between Whirpool and Frigidaire for a refrigerator, ALWAYS go with the Whirlpool (not sure about other brands, those were just the two we were deciding between.) The salesperson said other appliances from Frigidaire not too bad, but that they had a LOT of complaints and repairs for the fridges.

I have had whirlpool... had many problems soon after owning. They were repaired under warranty, but made me weary of the brand.
