Using ATT Uverse Wireless Adapter (2Wire) on Ubuntu

I recently installed Ubuntu on my desktop and I really like it so far. I would like to install the 2Wire USB Wireless Adapter povided by AT&T [2wire.com] so that I can use the internet wirelessly from the desktop, but the CD only has windows installation software on it. I called AT&T support and was told they do not have drivers/software for Linux operation systems, but the person suggested I search an online Linux forum for instructions on how to obtain the drivers to install it. I searched several forums and tried three different methods, but I was probably not successful because none of the instructions were for the adapter from AT&T [2wire.com].

Any assistance from the slickdeals tech gurus would be greatly appreciated.

can u dl the latest Knoppix LiveCD and see if it will configure it properly?
or if that adapter uses a ralink chipset they may have drivers at the ralink website

you need to simply research using ndiswrapper and the windows driver.
utilizing another linux distro won't accomplish anything to help your problem.
