This is the second-generation model, which uses 216 stream processors vs the previous model which had 192. It gives a slight performance boost when playing games at higher resolutions.

Even though CoD and FarCry2 have been out for a bit, they are still good games and if you factor each of those in at $30 bucks a piece your getting this baby for like $109. Far Cry 2 is worth $3 as of the recent Newegg deal, and CoD is more like $20 if you want it to be slick since Modern Warfare 2 is coming this year.

And the rebates = a minus.

A warm deal for me. I'll wait for more price drops and less bundling.

I always mused at RAM amounts, how they simply doubled all the time, and actually was happy to see amounts like 384MB and 768MB, but a 512MB + 256MB + 128MB chip is bizarre indeed.

The weird memory amount is thanks to the 448-bit memory bus width which is down from 512-bit on the GTX 280. The card of course uses the same 65nm GT 200 based core.
