Caution regarding Worldwiderebates:
I advise you to avoid selecting to receive your check by mail, by using their other options.
When they send a check in the mail, it can easily tear apart from the other half of the postcard they send it on. Thus you may receive the address portion, but no check. Also the postcard you receive does not specify what the rebate check was for, so you may have difficulty figuring out which offer you did not receive your payment for. I had to have them re-send me a check and it was barely still attached the second time. Good luck.

When using eSATA with this device, I had a hell of a time getting the drive to be recognized by Windows initially. This was due ONLY to "bad" cables. Apparently, eSATA cables are sometimes manufactured incorrectly, and the plastic shielding around the connector prevents it from connecting properly with the device/computer. Simply grab an X-Acto knife and trim the plastic on the end a bit and you should be all set.

also, because it's a docking station, you dont need fan inside to cool the drive. since the airflow in the room cools it |

usb or esata for new mobos esata basically gives u 3x the speed of usb, much better for trasfering files but esata=new=not as flexible yet |
