J&R currently sells the new (non-refurb) D90 body for $889, so the refub saves $190. Note, however, that refurbs only have a 90-day warranty rather than the standard one-year warranty.

Picked one up, need a DSLR for a trip this summer, want to pick and choose some lenses for it anyway. Much better deal for me personally than the Best Buy D200. Thanks OP!

I've been lying in wait on a good deal for one of these.... I called Nikon at their 800 number (800-645-6689) and asked about extending the 90 day warranty. Can't be done. You're stuck with a 90 day warranty on refurbed kit. What a bummer.

Not familiar with eBay fees?
You'll bleed about 10% of the sale to eBay between listing, final value and paypal fees unless you're a powerseller. To get $750 for it, you'll have to throw in free shipping (because otherwise your buyers will just buy it for $799 themselves). Your profits will not be $50/cameraBut I have to say -> I never thought you were serious to start with.
