How does this compare to the Denon 1909 I just bought for about $100 more?

Great price from Newegg. I have owned a Yamaha all my life, and will not switch. They are the best A/V receivers in my opinion for the price. I am waiting still for the RX-V765 which is supposed to release in May or early June. The 765 has a little more power, and the RMS output power is 20Hz to 20kHz to 1kHz only on the 565 and 665. There is some concern on these receivers with the weight and the power output. Newegg.com is an authorized internet retailer which means Yamaha should honor the warranty.
Audioholics.com also has all of their items including these receivers at 10% off with coupon "AUDIOHOLICS" and free shipping. I'm planning to order the 765 through them because of the coupon, and they extend the warranty from 2 years to 3 years. |
