you can also call HP Business Support for a set of vista disks overnighted no charge (telephone number is 1-800-334-5144) when prompted for a shortcut say "business notebook" That will ring straight through to the tech.

while you have the tech online check when your warranty starts. you may have to fax your invoice to them to get your warranty start date corrected.

You may call HP Warranty service and update your warranty start date. Call 1 800 407 6210. They will have you email them the invoice, serial number and product number to srg@hp.com

They will come with diffrent displays an LG, Samsung and AUO. The Samsung is reported to be a bad display, leaks light, grainy etc.
you can get these displays replaced by calling hp and reporting them as bad.

also check your processor and see if it's a t9500 w/6megs L2 cache. some people are reporting getting a t7800 w/4 megs L2 cache.

make sure you use the geforce drivers from the nvidia site ( from what people tell me it runs games better ).

HP's support has been great so far. They will help you get everything sorted out.

The hard drive looks small, but it's a 7200 RPM drive so it should be much faster than the drives that most notebooks come with (5400 RPM).

See attached pics for the specs, as reported by CPU-Z.

NOTE: One memory slot is located under the cover on the bottom of the laptop while the other is located under the keyboard. Don't bother with 800MHz sticks as this board downclocks all memory to 667. The system board only has an 800MHz bus, so two DDR2-400 sticks will fully saturate it.

3dmark-06 score with 185.85 driver from nvidia: 5567@default setting, 4007@1920x1200. The score for 176.87 from HP site is a bit lower. 3853 for 1920x1200
