Great cooler. I had it in my antec p180. The only problem was that there was (and I've heard Tuniq has since fixed this) a good amount of machining lines. I lapped it. My proc was stock at 2.66 and it stayed just above ambient temp in the winter. I couldn't believe it myself. I'm talking around 75 F (what is that, 20 C?).

Anyway, these never go on sale/rebates that I've seen. Good deal.

Believe those that mention that this sucker is huge... It is huge. I had to get a Thermalright set up on my Asus P5N32-E in order to cool North and South bridges. Which was better, the HR-01 I have now or the Tuniq tower? I think the Tuniq, but it was too close to call.

I highly recommend this for those looking to silence their PC's (you may also want to check out silentpcreview - not promoting, just a recommendation).

Tuniq makes highscoring thermal paste too. Reccomended.

I have a Tuniq Tower in my P180 case as well. It is a very big cooler, but it has a small footprint compared to other coolers since it is fastened with bolt throughs. Main draw back is that you need to have access to the back of your motherboard in order to install the back plate for the bolts to screw into. Unless you have a case with a mobo tray that has a cutout near where the cpu is installed to handle it easily, installing the Tuniq will require a bit of work.

Mehs... this cooler is rather dated at this point (I'm really happy to finally see it at a price that fits the datedness lol). I bet the 1283 (or a similarly designed cooler) will out perform this. The problem is - catching the 1283 when it's cheap. Shouldn't be too hard because it does so pretty frequently... same with the Core Contact Freezer from Sunbeam (which definitely out performs the Tuniq).

The Zerotherm ZEN FZ120 cooler (similar to the 1283's design) is on sale right now for 21.99 with paste shipped... I'd be interested to see how that compares to the old school Tuniq.

how difficult is this thing to install? i actually ordered this on Monday from the Egg (didn't know it was such a good deal or i would have posted it) and it should be here today. looking to overclock my Phenom II X2 550 BE to 3.8Ghz...i'm running at 3.6 right now using the stock cooler, but that worries me...so i got this Tuniq Tower to try.
