I haven't seen too many Timex watches that were bad. I always thought they were pretty good.

Timex is amazing, at least for Ironman, and I've had several good experiences with 1SaleADay. As a runner, I can say that the Timex Ironman is hands down the past running watch you can buy if you're not in the market for GPS. This is a ridiculous deal; I'd be in for one as a back up if it weren't for the velcro, but that's just personal preference..

The only junk part of Timex Ironman watches are the models with the molded type of wristbands because they can't be replaced and they won't cover it under warranty if there's damage to the wristband. I have my original Ironman I bought at the PX at boot camp in 89' and it still works. I've used it as a backup when the stupid molded ones would break. I finally found one of their FLIX models with a user replaceable strap and an interval timer (not an easy combo for these watches). The nylon straps aren't always the most comfortable (more of a preference thing), but they are great for wearing over things like gloves, winter coats, wet suits and such. For $20 it's a no brainer. Might actually relegate my original to the nostalgia drawer and keep this one in the car.

I've been running for years, including several marathons, with Timex Ironman watches. I have 2 which are about 7 years old. I keep one in my gym bag and one at home. They are among the best for the purpose.

The home one I wear when I'm working around the house and I just broke the band. I'd be all over this if it wasn't the velcro strap. I don't like the wrap style.

I too have had good luck with 1SaleADay.
