This is a repost, but I just wanted to comment that Amazon is the only place i found that is giving the customer the entire instant rebate from Canon. Other places, such as Adorama, BH Photo, Abes, BB, etc. are taking some of the rebate for themselves. You can see this by adding the items individually (below MSRP) and not seeing the rebate, but they'll have a package that "includes" the rebate, but from the MSRP prices. There is also a rebate for the XSI and 55-250mm IS lens and filter for about $710, which I think may be a better deal for only $140 more b/c of the better body and better second lens.

XSi seems like a good deal too but I want movie mode. Any canon has movie mode with instant rebate like these two recommended? Thanks.

Well Cannon isn't do the rebate for the fun of it, there is a reason they want to clear out stock of XS/XSi.

I got in on the Sears XS deal and just bought the Canon 2044B002 EF-S 55-250mm f/4-5.6IS lens from Electronics Expo. I am thinking of upgrading to the XSi bundle. Decisions, decisions. If I hadnt just bought the above lens I would definitely get the XSi bundle.

How did you get it to come out to 710 for the XSi...??

yea, it was in the 7-ish price range a couple days ago. But seems like amazon has increased the price and the 55-250 lens was a little bit cheaper than the 70-300 though that one is sold out from amazon. ><

I don't see that particular lens listed on canons rebate PDF am I missing something?
