they did, q8200 I think at Microcenter for $99, but was B&M only and died realy quick...

I used to be up to date on boards cpu's and such, but I'm months out of the loop these days. Would anyone like to drop recommendations for an htpc mobo for this processor and what the pro's and con's of the recommendations are. I'm sure more than a few would appreciate the info.

I could certainly have used this deal a few days ago when i was buying my HTPC components... guess it's not too big of a deal, though; I saved a few bucks with a significantly slower processor which at least has a lower TDP.

This CPU is SLOWER than E8400 in games and certain Apps. Yet certain rendering/encoding it is faster by a fraction.
Check out charts at http://www.anandtech.com/cpuchips...=3344&p=14 Note: I personally bought an E8400 for the value of ~$100 May of last year. So I had to do a little research to see if the person said was valid.
