For those who bought and later exchange the backpack with a more expensive bag, like me, if you received the reward amount of your first purchase, call this number 1-888-891-3787 and have them send you the difference of your purchase.

Coupons should not reduce amount of Staples rewards check. See this post. If you do not get the full amount, you can use this printout to complain with Staples and/or file a formal complaint for fraud. <---- Don't listen to this B.S.! You will only get for the net purchase amount. That CSR didn't know what he was talking about. STOP MAKING UP B.S. AND MISLEADING PEOPLE!!!!!!!!!!!

There is a bigger possibility that coupons used in buying the backpack will reduce the reward amount you will get. Staples Rewards is calculated based on NET PURCHASES after all coupons are deducted. Ink Rewards are also considered coupons if you check your quarterly transaction of your Staples Rewards account, all Instant savings, dollar off coupons and Reward certificates are combined under one column COUPONS. Don't rely on the post above this. Some CSR are claiming that coupons will be deducted on your Reward amount. Opinions vary from one CSR to another CSR.

The review on their Staples site is so bad that they totally remove this item and the reviews from their own website.

I note this as a user of this product (which of course, I paid nothing for one way or another) both my boys have these on their desks and have for over a year (to sharpen there penny pencils with), and I haven't had any issues. I have a teen & younger one- I consider it abuse to give them anything- so, if this review helps others- I'm happy.
You just need to dump junk out of this one more than larger ones- that's my only complaint (followed by the boys never do) *cpnqn

I have 2 of these for my regular pencils and watercolor and art pencils and have never had a problem with either one. They are a bit slower then my other heavy duty electric pencil sharpener but sharpen just as nicely.
