Stop saying this. There are issues with thickness to consider as the PS3 uses a cage. Not sure whether it would fit PS3 or not from this particular version.

if you are looking for external hd's I wouldn't go for a laptop one unless you want to move it around easier. Regular desktop hd's are way cheaper than laptop ones.

and a ps3 should fit all 2.5" laptop hd's, the cage it sits in just holds it in place. Sony designed it this way so you could swap any laptop drive into it, I thought.

from what i've read, and i've read ALOT about this drive the last couple months, this is one of the fastest non SSD drives you can put into your laptop...2 platters i think is what makes it speedy. It's just a touch slower than the WD Caviar BLACK that's one of the highest rated drives for desktops.
