If you want the Phenom II X4 945 but none of the combos, you can bring down the price by buying one of the four motherboards. Two are free, one is $5, the last is $10. Sell those to bring the overall price down. You are not going to find a Phenom II 945 for under $150 anywhere else.

I don't because 4gb of DDR3 for over 100 bucks is slightly overpriced and makes the good deal not so good anymore...

The combo discount is $125. One way to look at it is the ram and hard drive are free. Not really but thats a good way to talk yourself into it.
I like the combo with the M4A78T-E. I almost got it but I talked myself out of it. I truly have no need to build or upgrade. I talk myself out of it every day.
