I could not buy any prepaid phones online and found out that someone has bought 2 phones using my home address within 120 days. So someone is actually able to steal my home address to purchase? How could this be done?
I'm suspecting the phone store where I bought my contract phone from is using my information to make purchases all the time. |

What there is to unlock is that it is locked to T-Mobile as a carrier. If you tried a ATT sim card without unlocking it it wouldn't work. Once unlocked it should be able to use an GSM sim card. |

So then, we're on AT&T and hubby's phone is getting trashed at the worksite (construction dust and so forth).
From reading up on this one, we would be out the door $20 ($13 if Bing will ever work for us, for some reason it gets 'denied' by MS each time we've tried using it) and it's just a matter of finding an unlock code (thanks for the link above) and then we can toss his SIM card into it and it'd act like it's on our AT&T account. Right? Thanks. |

I'm not thread crapping here but wanted to give a heads up on this phone, which I purchased for my wife last Christmas when it was on sale at BB for $49 I think.
I bought this for her because I also have a Nokia and have always liked them and wanted to be able to share chargers. Out of the box this phone just feels like a cheap toy and is not very customizable. For a sub $20 phone it's not a bad deal but for $50 it was a huge disappointment. The biggest problem is she kept getting "SIM card not found" errors literally every day and she would miss call because of it. She would either have to reboot the phone or sometimes go as far as having to remove the battery and SIM then reinsert it. We have since upgraded her to the Samsung t249 which is way nicer even though it has even more limited customization (which she doesn't care about anyway). Anyway, to recap so I don't get blamed for thread-crapping, it's probably worth under $20 for what it is but I think you are truly getting what you pay for. I am not a phone snob by any means (I have a 4 year old Nokia 6133 with a busted camera) but I honestly hate this 2760. Can't recommend. My .02 Last edited by Bohous; 08-19-2009 at 08:41 AM.. |

So how can one get cashback? Search t-mobile on bing.com or what?

Yes, that's exactly how it would work. Unlock, put in AT&T SIM, use on AT&T network. No need to notify AT&T either. |

I have this phone for about 5 months and I'm happy, no problems at all.
