Actually I just read the fine print and if you signed up for your account today you are automatically enrolled. So anyone flying out of the Boston area gets double for the following time frame:
*Book a flight for yourself between August 17 and December 31, 2009 for travel to/from *Boston Logan, Manchester, or Providence between August 17 and December 31, 2009.
Complete your travel between August 17 and December 31, 2009.

ok i signed up, but whats my account #? I clicked on the emails i've recieved and I did not get an account # that you will need to be able to log in

I just got really excited for nothing...you should put New York only in the title.

am i missing something or can u just use a friends mailing address in NY to qualify (and a new email addy of course).

yeah, this would be good to know...if you currently have less than 8 rewards points to your account it would be worth it to cancel and reapply

I have an account, but signed the hubby up for 6 free points. Then the site associated his recent prior flights, so we requested past credit and got another 2 points. He doesn't travel much by air, but does rent his share of rental cars. So we plan to get credit for the past car rentals as well. You have a two year window to earn an award. We should be close.

I've had an RR account for years and love the fact that we can take family trips each year (airfare free). I travel some for work and we also have the RR Visa which helps a lot. We put everything on it (gas, food, incidentals, etc.). We average 2-4 awards a year. It's a great program!

Confirmed. I got the 6 credits and I am from NC, not NY. However, I am still waiting on the 2 credits for signing up for email updates.
