The firmware on these refurbs are non-hackable in case anyone wants one for homebrew/backups.
It's highly unlikely that they will retain any firmware but 5.51 because they are serviced & reconditions from Sony and Sony doesn't want users to hack their PSPs.

8am 400's processing
9:30am 500's processing (my order @ 9:27am current status Processing - Shipping update)
some 600's are shipped plus tracking # at 4:21 pm (note: not sure if EST or PST)
700's processing
1300's shipped plus tracking # available
1400's shipped
1900's processing
7pm 2100's processing
2500's processing
looks like orders that were placed in the middle of the deal are getting through somehow...better for me lol! go figure.

Wow, 3000 series need refurbing already? Or is it just Sony trying to get the easy-to-mod units off the market? Nice price, though, really....thumbs up for that.

Best skype and music player out there by far. I can't speak for the games since I have never played a single one, but that's a good player. You don't need a skype headset since it has a built in Mic but the sony PSP skype headset is very good sounding and doesn't damage your ears like other ones that go directly in your ear-canal. The headset is sold for $20 at frys.
