Whatever you say may be quite correct, but these cables are definitely worth $10 from their built quality or even for aesthetic appeal if you care. And this price is not even close to monster junk.

HMDI cables are all equally effective for short lengths but build quality is important too. I've seen cheap ones fall apart after being disconnected a couple of times.

In for 3 at 8.99 each btw: I was at Radio Shack last night and almost had a heart attack when I saw hdmi cables from $50 to $130.... The salesperson told me ... "but these are REALLY good" I told her nope they are the same as the $10 ones I will find online tomorrow... which I did!
