the lotion one is meant for smooth leather and the protector one is for both smooth and suede. so if you have suede, get the suede one and if not, get the other one. i have both so im gonna buy both

One is "LOTION".. the other is "PROTECTOR". Hence, even if you have just leather, you can use both for different reasons.
