not to thread crap but heres the ATI 650 for 2.50 more...
http://forums.slickdeals.net/show...&t=1594916 the ATI has dual tuner digital and analog. i thought that was the better deal myself so i went with that |

I bought the pci version of this card (http://forums.slickdeals.net/show...&t=1590196) and that version does not work with Win 7 media center for clear QAM channels.

I decided to pick this card up because of the support with the component cables and the amazing quality I've seen with screen captures. The links below provide screen captures of the ATI 650 and the Mygica. I am every impressed with the quality the Mygica is showing compared to the ATI 650. Is it too good to be true? Maybe, that is what I am thinking, but since the Mygica has Component cables and the Ati 650 does not, I am willing to try. The feedback on the Mygica was very good that I have seen, so I had to give it a shot.

I wouldnt base my decision purely on the screen capture quality given that it varies quite a bit from channel to channel and even between programs on a particular channel. There is also no way to find out how much jpeg compression was applied to the different screenshots in the reviews you linked. The capture quality is going to depend on the broadcast and the compression for that particular broadcast. In general, I have found that the the best looking HD broadcasts are those for KQED certain NBC and CBS programming (sports events for e.g) . The rest vary quite a bit depending on the program itself with motion artifacts and low bit rates etc. The mygica screenshots look like they are from from a NBC movie broadcast which look good. Although, I purchased the mygica pci version myself I would recommend the ATI card over this. The ATI is definitely a superior card with a hardware encoder for NTSC as well and has good support for clearQAM under window7 MC whereas the mygica is not supported atm. |

I was using digital for the Ben Roeth video. Heres an analog video, its still good but not near as crisp as the HD video. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=r9...rofilepage |
