Quote : World of Goo was imagined by two ex-Electronic Arts developers, Kyle Gabler and Ron Carmel. Their game studio, 2D Boy, was essentially based out of whatever Wi-Fi enabled coffee shop they could find. The developers estimate spending about $10,000 of their personal savings to develop World of Goo which includes rent, food, and minimal equipment. In a post on 2D Boy's blog, the game's developer estimated that due to piracy, only one out of every ten copies of the PC version of World of Goo had been legitimately purchased.

Quote : The game is currently available on WiiWare and for Windows (XP/Vista) and Mac. To play it on Windows, you basically need a PC that's 5 years old or newer (1GHz or faster CPU, 512MB of RAM, 100MB of disk space, a 3D graphics card, DirectX 9.0c). On Mac, you need OSX 10.4 or later, with either Intel cpu or PPC G4 or better.

Big TU for this one. If you havent played it, you have no excuse, and if you stole it give them a few bucks so that they can keep making more.

Thanks OP. Every time I walk past the clearance rack at Target, I see this sitting there for $3.74 and wonder why no one has picked up this gem of a game.
I bought it on WiiWare and couldn't bring myself to buy it again, even for <$4, especially since it would deprive someone else. Now I'm going to be even more tempted... |

It appears this sale is only for linux, windows, mac version. WiiWare is still $20. Someone please correct me if I'm wrong.
Might want to put that in OP/subject if I'm right. But still, good deal! thumbs up even with the ambiguity. |

I bought this for the Wii and for the PC. Such a creative game that I went out of my way to support it.
