When you activate your service as long as its before 12/31/09 then yes you will be grand fathered in and will not be subject to all the new fees and changes. So you will get Premier service for 99.99 yearly and you don’t have to pay the regulatory recovery fee. Also you still will have free basic service which is voicemail, caller id and call waiting. Please let me know if you have any additional questions.

Costco has the hub in the stores for $199. Also, if ooma goes belly up, you have a good chance of returning the hardware to Costco making this lower risk. Sorry, Costco is Hub only, this deal includes scout.

Linky [jr.com] As for the yearly regulatory fee (~$12/yr, ~$1/mo); somebody had posted that this regulatory fee only applied to new Ooma subscribers, with the new Ooma Telo device. And also, the first year is totally free regardless, and the ~$12/yr fee doesn't kick in until the 2nd year of free service. |

Decent price for a awesome service..
I first bought them in costco , returned them ( un opened ) and then bought them in walmart.. Then the amazon deal came in OOMA core for 204.xx with Ipod shuffle 4 GB Jumped in for 3 and returned the ones from walmart ( actually the ones I bought from Amazon since I already started using the service.. )... Loving OOMA service... Already into second month.. only 8 more months to go and am sure they will be in service for more than that... |

works with verizon Fios, comcast, etc. with the 6 free months of premier you also get a 2nd line... you can have the hub set up as one number w/ seperate voicemail, and the scout can be the 2nd number the Rep told me. I will also use my goggle voice number for the system, they will be adding more GV features soon..
if you sign up for an extra year for $99 ($99 by 12/31/09) they will transfer any number to the system for you for free (reg. 39.99) or - you can get a free DECT 6.0 handset, but its designed for the new Telo system (reg. 49.99) |
