This has been a crazy month for cell phone service plans.

Tmobile has no contract unlimited for $50 , metro has unlimited for $35 and now verizon is trying to hurt the iphone with android 2.0 and free gps. Let the war begin.

nice, looks like they're lowering the price too, we're gonna switch to metro in december. and get $5 international unlimted add on.

did they lowered their price or is this their regular pricing? Not sure since i don't have metro PCS, hear there's alot of drop calls and other stuff. I guess there's alot of user in the city.

Do I need to buy a phone with the plan? I just ordered a samsung omnia i910 from ebay to use it with page plus but probably for $40 I'll go with metropcs. Is the web access really unlimited?

If you already have one of their phones, you can just go to one of their stores and sign up. No need to buy a phone and as you can see, their web is unlimited.

Does MetroPCS really use the Verizon Network coverage? I heard Page Plus does

METRO PCS is by far the worst cell phone service ever. TRUST ME.
prepaid virgin mobile worked 10x better.

this is cool, but they don't have coverage in the Northern Virginia area. also I can't see if they have GSM phone or SIMcard less phones!

I have page plus, they are good and they do use Verizon tower, however Metro PCS is like Cricket, they have their own half fast built network. It is not verizon.

I used to work at MetroPCS... The only time you use the Verizon network is when you are roaming off the network, and if you aren't in a major city, thats pretty much all the time. When I worked there, even though I got a free phone and free service, I still had AT&T as did many of my coworkers (or they had Verizon). Their in building coverage is spotty at best. If you want reliable service, I'd look else where.

Their phones are very pricey as well. Blackberry runs at $349 and only works in their older coverage areas.

This is good thing too, I just want to buy a cell phone now.
