I think it is a very good deal. I will call them to see if they can take bing off over the phone.

They would not take bing off and told me to order through bing. Hmm. I do have Bank of America 5X rewards promotion to use on this for 5% off.

Anyone knows the quality of this TV and the energy cost?

BTW, how much can I sell the maintenance kit for? 50 dollars?

I think the general consensus is that 32" is the cutoff where 1080 vs 720 matters. In other words, 32 and smaller you won't notice much difference at normal viewing distance, with greater than 32", you notice it more the larger you go. When I bought my plasma a year ago, a 42", the difference in resolution was definitely noticeable. They made a 720 and 1080 version of my set, and I went 1080 because of the difference I noticed on the display models playing the same thing. Personally, I'd stay away from a 720 set in this size range, but just my opinion.

If I bought a 720 set, I certainly would not be worried about a Blu-Ray player. The whole point of Blu-Ray is to get the 1080 rez. Why bother with a Blu-Ray if you have a set that can't take advantage of the resolution, at any price. Again, to each their own.

These HDMI cables are better than the ones the cable company usually provides right?

Im debating this 42 inch plasma combo vs the one on US appliance TC-P42X1 Panasonic VIERA� 42"

As far as tvs go, is there a significant difference? After a ten dollar coupon the tv is 539 shipped. So for 80 more I switch 780p 42" plasmas and get the hd set up kit and bluray. 5% CB at US appliace though it never comes up on the checkout. What is it for this one 2 or 5%?

at 6-7ft (which I consider normal distance) on a 42in, 1080p is noticeable on that chart... please explain
