honestly, none of those things are a deal breaker for me... don't really care what the display actually has on it while it plays my music, as long as it plays it well. i hate controlling my MP3 player on the tiny stereo screen anyway, so i'd stick w/ the 3.5mm jack. the only thing that i can see that would be frustrating is the startup time and and input switch lag... but free HD tuner is sweet!

FWIW, my experience with Clarion head units with USB ports has not been great. I've purchased three different models (I honestly couldn't tell you which) and they all have the same issues with poor randomization and popping between tracks - the last one I bought pops DURING tracks.

I have not experienced issues with slow startup - they've all been very good. As for that reviewer's complaints about not being able to customize the display, I give him a big DUH. I can count on one hand the number of head units that have truly customizable displays, and none of them under $500.

At $130 I'm sorely tempted to give this a go to put in the truck, but I would kick myself if it really had these issues. Again.

For this price, I bit. I've been needing something with an AUX port so I can use my ipod (which would circumvent any slowness from the units interface). For about the price of a ho hum aux aftermarket radio, you're getting something with a fairly large 3.5" screen, DVD playback, Direct and aux ipod playback and free HD radio on top of that. Even if I really don't end up liking it, it was worth it because I can always return with Amazon.
