Prepaid cell phone with full QWERTY keyboard + $50 in service credit for $49.99

I-wireless (www.iwirelesshome.com) sold in Kroger is offering their Sanyo 2700 Pink/Blue phones for $49.99 (normally $69.99). With the 500 minute special you receive $30 service credit when you register your Kroger reward card. Then receive another $20 credit when you add money to your account within 90 days.

This offer is useful if you don't use the phone a lot or if you have a teenager and you don�t want to be out a lot of $$ if lost.

This deal is available in the store but it is easier to just purchase online. Due to availability. If you do attempt to purchase in the store then make sure your Kroger card is scan in before the phone is activated or else the $49.99 price will not ring up correctly.

I don't know if it's pre or post coupons. Also, on ShortCuts.com. There is an e-coupon for iWireless for $20 (expires 12/21/09) So, register there, link your Kroger to the account, add the $20 coupon to the account, then shop Kroger. Can't say it's any better than any other company. I'm trying to find info on it on i-wireless.

Perhaps, there's a SD'er out there who does know.

Thanks for the Follow up. I was not aware about the 500 minute offer not compatable on phones from Kroger.From reading their website I also found that i-wireless uses the SPRINT network, they also have a Unlimited Talk plan for $50 and if you spend $100 at Kroger each month they will a will issue a $10 credit on the unlimited plan or 20 minutes on the standard plans.

A funny side note, if you go to Sprints website they sell the same phones for $229

I have a little more info on iwireless.

I bought the LG VI150 at Fred Meyer for $19.99 and registered it online at iwireless adding my Rewards Card and I received a $40 credit to my account right then. A few days later I received a text telling me when I buy/pay/add minutes within the next 90 days I will receive another $20 credit. I have earned the free 20 minutes twice so far

They send you a text letting you know they have added the minutes. You do Not have to purchase $100 at one time they keep track via your Reward card and when you have reached $100 they add the free minutes to your account. You can add Two Reward cards to your iwireless account and earn free minutes from both cards.
Minutes are .10
So far I am really happy with this program we spend several hundred at FM each month and will not use the phone much so it is perfect for us. I have not had any problems with the service in my area its been really good.
