Thread Details

I predict 32" 1080p TV's will go on sale after xmas/new years for $350 and under on the regular. Any other believers out there? It's pretty hard to score a 1080p under $350 right now in the 32" size....with the exception of Targets recent deal.

There's no point in getting a 1080p TV @ 32 inch, with a 6ft viewing distance you won't notice ANY difference between 720 and 1080.

your kind of right, its quite hard to tell at 32", almost physically impossible....i mainly want 1080p though for the ps3....and i see no reason to "live with 720p" when i can wait a couple months and get what i want, even if it's mostly nostalgic value.

personally it looks to me like the retailers are trying to unload all their 720p sets. i might pull the trigger if they get cheap enough, but like i said, i would much rather get 1080p

no difference even if you want to hook it up to your computer?

Well I imagine that as a computer monitor it would be fine as you'd sit right in front of it and the distance then would be <1ft but if you hook it up as a monitor and sit on your couch several ft back, then no it wouldn't.

@shockz420 --- What difference does it make though? Even with the PS3...at that distance you wont be able to see the difference between running a ps3 in 720 or 1080...I'd say you wait and get a 40 or 46".

honestly, i think your nuts b/c A) there are not that many 32 inch 1080p tvs since the benefit is not there and B) since its a premium product they can charge more and most of the 1080p 32 inch are almost $1000 so i see no way how right after new years the prices are going to drop that much.

I think that if your buying under 37" you pretty much should just snag 720p and don't buy into the mktg of the whole 1080p.

i have a 42" lg, I can tell the diff. between the 720 and 1080 when I sit a little farther then 5 feet away....

doomtoall, where the hell do you live. I'm looking for 1080p 46" Samgun right now and only looking at around a G.. I'm not sure you know what your talking about..

Go with the 32" 720p if that's what your interested in, you'll never see the differeance untill you get to 40" and larger.

and at the average viewing distance in most households (9ft) you'll need a 50" laugh out loud
