i bought one over a year ago.
it never worked right.
it's a toy.

magicjack gives you ability for FREE international calling. if OOMA had FREE international, i'd be all over it.

My local RadioShack has had it at this price for the last year, and I bought it for $20 on sale. This is no deal.

That said, the magicjack works great at my house if I am not downloading torrents or streaming media. With three of us at home an 3-4 computers using the net, the connection sucks. I would buy it again though.

I bought a Magic Jack, canceled my VOIP service and now use MJ as my full time primary home phone service. It works excellently if you know how to configure your router properly.

use MJ as well...works great for me...sometimes it gets crazy, but beats a high phone bill.

I actually just renewed for 5 more years for $59.95. I love it for being able to fax with it with my multi-function copy/printer/fax. Great for sending copies of medical bills for reimbursement rather than mail. Only $1/mo on average.

We still have a landline for $20/mo too as sometimes the internet goes down and use it for long distance calls which is rare. Granted, I am a rarity with a Virgin Mobile prepaid line for $5/mo as well.

wasn't this $19.99 for a long time? $10 increase = the suck.

My brother lives in Thailand. I can call him on a local number and it is free for him to call me. MJ will also email you your voicemails.
