Planet Earth Blu-ray (Discovery edition) $28 Shipped

I saw this mentioned in another thread and thought it deserved its own thread. The Discovery store is selling Planet Earth on Blu-ray for just $24.49. This is not the BBC version, but rather the Discovery version and is narrated by Sigourney Weaver. Some will thumb this down for that simple reason, but this is a good set nonetheless and there's no disputing the great price here. Shipping is $4.00 for me, bringing the total to $28.49 shipped (taxes where applicable).

Well for starters..it's shorter. According to my box..it says the Total Run Time is Approx. 8 hours. The BBC version has a runtime of 550 minutes..or 9 hours, 10 minutes.

The Discovery version is also broadcasted in 1080i...the BBC version... 1080p. Why the hell they did this, when they should have the same footage to use..I have no idea.
