can anyone who has ordered from this company before vouch for its quality/ It seems like a good deal, but for $20 you get 2 pieces of fruit some candy and a handful of fancy crunch n munch. Has anyone tried any of these items and are they especially awesome?

it's pretty good stuff. they usually sell 6 pears for 30 bucks i think. it's ridiculous, i know...and not exactly a true slickdeal, considering it's fruit and some mix - but a thoughtful treat to be gifted for sure. good for those who would enjoy splurging on nice things and have refined tastes =)

Probably won't be much help but the only thing I bought from this place before is their Holiday Plush Animal Moose....which is good quality!

The Moose Munch is heavenly, as are the pears. Harry & David's so rather expensive, but the quality is great. So much better than the other companies that have been floating around here lately (1800Baskets, Cheryl Cookies, Fannie Farmer's, etc). That said, $20 is still too expensive to me for what you get.

Harry and David is very reputable. I've ordered from them many times and never had a problem. The pears are one of their specialties and normally a lot more expensive (yes even for two!). I'm in for one. OP!

Quality is very good, and a very nice and easy gift for someone. Plus shipping is free which is very nice!

Never had this but it's no more expensive than movie-theater or event food. Great quality from what I've read which is important for a gift you're sending. Great guarantee in case your order is bad. Though limited in size, I'm sure it will be appreciated.

Quality is spectacular, customer service is spectacular as well. My mom LOVES LOVES LOVES the pears; earlier this year I sent her a gift tower that included pears, and two of them were bruised and overripe. I sent customer service an email, and they rushed her out fresh pears and threw in a small box of 6 truffles as well. I was very impressed!

All that said...wait until after Christmas if you want to try their stuff. They'll have a big blowout sale to clear holiday-themed inventory for slicker prices. Last year's sale was frontpaged here:
