Update: Another member has pointed out that this is showing at Creative's site [creative.com] as a "B-stock" item. Usually that refers to a used, open-box, or refurbished item, but to my knowledge this Red color has never been sold before. B-stock sometimes is used to refer to discontinued models, which this currently is (this is the First generation, and they're up to the third). Either way, you're backed by a full Year warranty from Creative.

Yeah I noticed that too. I'm not sure if these would be used or returned products though as Creative has never sold a red model to the public from what I know (at least not in the US).

The B-stock could also mean that it's discontinued, which this current model is.

It's probably because it's being fulfilled by Creative who charges tax in FL I believe.

Could be, but if it is going through amazon, figured it would come under Amazon state coverage. Guess not. Anyone else NEW to the tax thing on amazon for FL?
