I can't speak to this specific unit, but I would imagine that its awfully shaky. Based on the rated load (200lbs per shelf), I'm guessing that it compares to this one at Sears:

I'd actually gone in to check this one out at Sears. They had it setup in the store and you can just about cut your hand on the metal it was so thin. The reviews aren't too positive either. Now, Gorilla does make some heavier duty stuff, but this certainly doesn't appear to one of them. Ultimately I guess it just depends on what you plan on storing on it.

Coincidentally enough, we just bought two 48"W x 72"H x 18"D units from Costco. They're rated at 1500lbs per shelf and were, by far, the best deal that I could find at $59 per unit. I was very impressed at how sturdy they feel once you get all of the shelves in place.

I have two of the units in my basement for many years. They are incredible strong and sturdy. No issues with the metal rack at all.

Just be careful with the amount of stuff you put on the shelves. The particle board shelves tend to sag over time. I eventually replaced them with 1/2" plywood (after about 10 years).

200 lbs per shelf is like a person sitting on each shelf!!! What are you putting on your shelves that weigh more than that?

There's a difference between passive load and active load. You can tack 200lbs of bricks on it, but let's see if you feel safe sitting under neath when a 200lbs woman sits on the shelf.

Hmm, it says they can be used as a workbench as well but I couldn't find any pictures of it setup this way. Has anyone come across any?

I have 4 Gorilla shelves in my garage that I have had for many years, and all are VERY sturdy. I am looking to purchase a few more for more storage and likely will purchase Gorilla again.
