Got one of these at Wal-mart for $20 with included cable awhile back and it drinks

the ink. 150 b/w pages to empty in my case.

Spend the extra and get a Canon PIXMA iP3x00 or iP4x00.

You will save hundreds of $$$ in ink cartridges.

I've had that happen as well. Try reseating the carts, and make sure the contacts on the chip are clean. That usually solves it for me.

Obviously for the price you can't expect much, But according to Canon's own site alot of people found it easy to use and does exactly what is expected, Just how far did you go in checking the reviews?

Anyway I needed a printer for simple documents and such so I jumped on the newegg deal.
