I have this unit in my wife's Suburu Forester.
This is a good price, I thought I got a good deal at $500.

Okay, now for the details of the unit:
The radio is like any other radio, except the buttons are on the touch screen. Haven't had any issues with it.
The navigation is somewhat difficult to use with it's cumbersome interface, but it works well. It comes with a satellite receiver antenna with a long cord, making it easy to install somewhere within the vehicle. The DVD function works great. I installed a module to prevent the unit from locking out functionality while in motion (like watching DVD's or making changes to the navigation).

Only quirk I've found, the clock on the Nav screen is always an hour off, even if you set DST on/off, set it manually, whatever, we've never been able to get it to be correct, but who really needs it anyway?

It comes with plenty of extra cables for the additional functionality, also has a USB port for flash memory sticks (although you have to run a USB cable because the USB port is in back).
The unit also has a built in fan to cool itself, so that's a bonus for long term reliability.
