RTG Living Room Packages at $1,999 includes 50' Samsung HDTV

Rooms To Go has offered TV packages in the past so for many this might not seem that Slick.

However, this time it is a 50 inch Samsung HDTV offered making this Slicker then any past TV deals by Rooms To Go.

My local paper notes that they have living room packages on "sale" this week at $1999. However, what is different is the paper says that they are offering a 50' Samsung Ultra-Slim HDTV with purchase.

For instance: Claude home theater Reclining sectional includes -
Left Arm Recliner +
Armless Loveseat +
2 Console Wedges +
Right Arm Recliner +
Storage Ottoman +
55 x 17 x 26 Cherry Finish Console +

SAMSUNG 50 inch Ultra-Slim HDTV

furniture has in some cases over 100% profit margins and generally always a rip off. I am not sure of the time of the year but there is only one month when its generally considered the time to buy furniture because they begin to swap out styles for the year. Otherwise, shop craigslist for slightly used furniture which is probably your best deal then buy a quality 1080p panel with the money you saved.

Not a good deal, sorry.

The Claude set at $1199 now is for the 5 piece set. Even at $999 did not include the Ottoman, Console, and TV. For $1k more you are getting the Samsung Plasma, an Ottoman and a Console for the TV.

I am pretty sure just about every large furniture store in my area has advertised similar deals. Never really checked into the details of each particular promotion, just figured they were adding cost of TV to price of furniture. -And I am thinking that if these stores quit running nonstop ads for their fake sales, they might just be able to put some of that money into running an actual sale once in a while. I can't believe there are still people out there that are drawn in by these never-ending weekly blowout sales any way.
