NOTES ON THE I3-330M -- The i3 processor in this laptop is a great budget processor, but has some definite caveats. It is rated for 35W tdp (power usage) and as such one of the more power hungry chips in the new intel mobile processor lineup. In english this means that this laptop will have significantly worse battery life than a chip with a LM (25W low voltage) or UM (18W ultra-low voltage) designation. The 4 hours rated battery life of this laptop is definitely optimistic. Lower voltage i5/i7 processors that would offer significantly better battery life include the i5-520UM, i7-620UM, and i7-620LM. The i3 mobile processors also have both the virtualization and turbo boost features disabled.

The new i3-330M mobile processor is definitely a better budget processor than the T4200, T6400, or T6600, but people who are considering purchasing this laptop should be aware of both the relatively high power usage & disabled features of i3 mobile processors.

You will also need to install some Apps too (also available on Acer site) - such as Acer ePower (power management, LCD brightness etc) and Acer LaunchManager (Keyboard extra keys/ Fn key functionality).

Sometimes it may say "Simple PCI Communication Device" or something like that? If it is, you need to install iAMT driver.

BIOS shipped was 1.09 for most people - most current (1.16) is on the ACER support website
