Amazon has Etymotic Research ER6i Isolator In-Ear Earphones (white) for $49.99 with free shipping. Next lowest on Google Products from a reputable store is $72. Thanks jeff8073x

I bought these for $100ish about 3-4 years ago. Despite looking a bit fragile, mine have gone to the gym and back wo/ fail. They do lack bass and have a cramped soundstage, but the level of detail's pretty fantastic.

Thanks OP. I've been looking for IEM's for a while, and I've been doing a lot of reading on the Head-Fi audiophile forums lately. This has been at $50 a couple times, and even $45 once at Amazon, but this is still a good deal. These supposedly have amazing clarity for the price, but strongly lacks bass. I'll see how it is

These are the best earphones I've ever owned and they still work perfectly fine after 2-3 years.

I used to have a pair of these, but I somehow lost them and am kicking myself. I also have a pair of Ultimate Ears Superfi, but I would use these over the UE. Lacks bass, but I'm more of a treble guy anyway.

They were $50 something like black friday before last, which is the lowest I had seen the price until then!

Been waiting for this to go back on sale as I missed out on the last Gold Box sale they had on em.
I owned these a year ago and the sound quality was awesome. I had to learn how to insert them properly, but after that the sound was the best I've heard and the bass was more than acceptable for my tastes. I lost em after a trip to japan and have been using crap ear buds since. Back to the good stuff. OP repped! Thanks

Decent price, much more affordable than the ultimate ears super fi 5 pros, but these will get the job done.

I bought these for $80 a year or so ago and love them. They aren't going to 'thump' with bass, as others have mentioned, but I instantly noticed so much more detail in my music when I switched to these. When it's quiet and I use these I'll have my computer volume and itunes/pandora volume both set to 1 and still be able to hear perfectly fine.
These take a while to get used to, but the biggest downside to these is the filters. If you have a lot of earwax or use them regularly, the sound will crap out and you'll have to change the filters, which etymotic has been out of stock on for quite a while. Also, don't try to sleep in them or you might damage your tympanic membrane. |
