Good deal. Paid $14 in December and still haven't opened it.

Nice deal. However, its been 16 years since I saw this the first time on VHS, and I STILL dont understand whats going on. On the other hand, the second Urusei Yatsura movie was also trippy, and he directed that as well @_@

Fantastic! I recommend that ppl watch Ghost In The Shell: Stand Alone Complex , the first season (not 2nd Gig) for a better understanding of the setting for the movies. The television series takes place after the war and Appleseed but before the movies.

I flipped to Slickdeals just after reading about bunraku puppets and the author's extension to a Popular Mechanics article about the uncanny valley while listening to Positronic Pimp by FSR. I think I'm in android overload. I'm positive I'm going to beep whir and clank now when I get up for a sandwich.

i personally thought first season and 2nd season (2nd gig) were both great

This is the bastardized version where they replaced some shots with CG and remixed/replaced some of the sound effects. The original is a masterpiece and they should have left it alone. Good deal though.
