Lenovo is currently running a new sale on this model again which I had missed, the previous thread had already expired and is no longer active. However, I waited until after Jan 27th, to see if they were going to do a new promotion for this model, alas they actually were running a new promo!!!

To get this deal, you would need to goto their Shareholder Purchase Program site.
1. www.lenovo.com/spp
2. Create an account and verify your email, they will provide you a temporary password
3. Select Laptops
4. Click on links for the Thinkpad Savings Sale
5. Select the X200 Ultraportable Package - $849.15
6. Scroll down and remove X200 Ultrabase this should give you a new price of $679.15
7. Now you cannot checkout with the package being this low, I think the system will not allow it to go below a certain price. Therefore you will need to add upgrades here and there, I upgraded my order with the increased processor, increase ram, bluetooth. This brought my new total to $776.90.

Tax for me in NY was like $69 so total came out to like $846 for me, which is still a steal for this model. I immediately went ahead and purchased this after I realized it came back on sale, didn't want to miss out on this again since school is about to begin for the spring semester. Enjoy!
