Be warned, it more then likely comes with tape covering bottom, which leaves adhesive residue. Use a cloth soaked in isopropyl alcohol to remove this residue.

FYI if use this on a AMD processor due to the design and heatsink mounting clip, the fan will face upward and blow up.

I'm sure it would be an improvement. The fan itself is 92mm.Just make sure it is the correct socket.
