Amazon (shipped by Adorama Camera) [amazon.com] has a 4-pack of Rayovac 4.0 (rebadged Hybrid LSD) AAA rechargeable batteries for $5.49 (free shipping). Sweet deal for great batteries (comparable to Sanyo Eneloops, test [candlepowerforums.com] and forum discussion here [candlepowerforums.com]).

Alternatively you can pick they up directly from Adorama [adorama.com] at the same price (free shipping)

1) These Rayovacs work with ALL chargers

2) In case you don't already know, they are LSD (low-self-discharge). It means they can hold charge 75~80% of it over a year. They also have higher recharge number of cycles

3) If you have a local FRY's, they usually have both AAs and AAAs on sale at about $4.50~$5.50 a pack. (This is still a good price so TU to OP!)

Please Note: These are NOT Lithium batteries. They are "LIKE Lithium" which are STILL NiMH.

Questions:

-How do these compare to the Sanyo Eneloops?

In for a couple since I just scored 4 packs of the AA's last week on the even hotter deal and I bought a BC700 charger.

AAA are normally more expensive then AA. Then there is a difference between cheap/regular NiMH rechargeable and LSDs type of batteries that come pre-charged and are low self discharge (80% remaining after few months of sitting on the shelf). Wiki link [wikipedia.org].

Of course it does. Although I highly recommend La Crosse BC-700 [amazon.com] from Amazon (has been on sale recently, got mine for $25). Great charger that doesn't kill batteries by overheating & can actually restore dead rechargeable batteries. Well worth the price and must have if you are buying LSD-type batteries.
